Ask For Wisdom Poem by Chris Embrick

Ask For Wisdom

The wise eat from the wise man's table
Refuses all but the choicest wine
Seeks the truth, avoids the fable
With those successful often dine

Refuses all but the choicest wine
Seeks what can't be bartered, bought
With those successful often dine
Adds to his mind the lessons taught

Seeks what can't be bartered, bought
Asks for wisdom, understanding
Adds to his mind the lessons taught
Assumes the task more demanding

Seeks what can't be bartered, bought
Seeks the truth, avoids the fable
Assumes the task more demanding
The wise eat from the wise man's table.
