Ask How She Is She Just Lies Poem by Amy Louise Kerswell

Ask How She Is She Just Lies

Rating: 5.0

Ask her how she is she just lies.
She wont tell you the truth.
Even though it's fixed in her eyes.
Ask her how she is.
She'll tell you she's just fine.
But she's lying she's not coping that well.
Ask her how she's doing.
She'll tell you she's just fine.
She's lying though.
She's not coping to well.
Life's troubles and stuff have got her down.
Ask her how she is.
But she'll lie and tell you she's fine.
She dose n't want you to know.
She don't want to let you know.
That she's going to take her life one day soon.

This is as powerful as Edwin Arlington Robinson's Richard Cory. Bang! He too hit me in the last line. I was getting ready to have empathy for a poor soul that was stoically suffering from some of life's troubles and stuff; not to put my funeral clothes on.
