At The Sea Of Australia (The Black-Footed Cat) Poem by Sophie Allyah

At The Sea Of Australia (The Black-Footed Cat)

Today is Friday,2020 of October
Here is mind-numbing but it doesn't matter
We're channeling Australia's strait right now
While waiting I got bored somehow
So I wrote this piece by piece
Reconstructing before permanently fixed:

In my early years I smoke and drink booze
A rapist, a serial and mass murderer
An oppressor and satanist, a kidnapper
But now I love watching and having tattoos
Collecting books, sci-fi and horror films
action figures, animes, shoes, guns
and caps, these are my wicked gems
I am on fire in my own devices
Because of these I stopped all my vices
Despite the hard-core continuity
I have a soft spot for animals community
Especially cuddly but mischievous ones
I'm talking about felines and their funs
I found out recently about these cute cats
Their prey is tinier than them like birds & rats
Sixty percent of their hunts are successful
It makes their achievements triple
Than those of lions, leopards, lynxes, cougars,
What else? Tigers, cheetahs and jaguars
Their vision is six times better than ours
Keep up 'cause I made this poem for hours,
They can't be located anywhere else,
not in Europe nor Australia nor America
But can only be found in parts of
southern and central southern Africa
They can't be kept as pets since they are wild
So in other words, they're not, at all, mild
They hunt at night, making them nocturnal
But sometimes also crepuscular
They weigh only 1-2.4 in kilogram
And they're the only pink skin in wild cats fam
Including the tail their body length is
between 50-72 centimeters
When finding prey at night they can
walk up to 35 kilometers
In the day they rest among rock tumbles,
hollow termite mounds, or in empty burrows
Regardless of its name these solitary cats'
black colors are located only in underparts
of their feet, tipped of their tail and tiny pads
Not only they're Africa's smallest felines,
but also dubbed as the world's deadliest cats

I know you can't get off your mind
To make it all better I will tell you, fine
About the early confessions, half of it are lies
Just messing around if you ask with whys
