At The Turn Of The Season Are We Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

At The Turn Of The Season Are We

At the turn of the season are we
Now
Nay
Past:
Just
Some leaves still as in Winter fall
Enclosed
A Poet-Seer lover of the Inside
In his small rooms sits
Writing:
Now on his chin he bends
Then his head raises again
That he forget not the next words
Then settles again
Then
Re-starts the Cycle
Cycle after Cycle
Turns round in the small room
Till oxygen of verse and song returns.
