Ate Yellow Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Ate Yellow

Ate yellow

I go out
-chitchat and socialise
-people ask:
- "Why don't you show your age? "

Most wonder
-why I look much younger!

The answer is simple
-I am child of mountains
-and plains and deserts
-and forests and jungles
-small part of nature

My best food is nature
-fruits and vegetables
-I eat them as they are
-don't care for "Sanitise"
-do not pay attention to colours
-if turned to yellow or violet, even red
-I ignore: "Has fungus! "

Sandwich of today
-was pita
-rolled around
-parsley, cheese
-with the leaves
-partially
-turned yellow…

I ate them as camels
-chew on the cotton seeds

Therefore, I, am healthy
-the days come and depart
-my body learns to live
-with nature, on nature
-and of course will one day
-fall and die, decompose
-as a part of nature
-No worries…
