Athens Secrets Of Old Poem by Deanna Samuels

Three days of archeological sites on visits
has filled one's head of gods and myths
of ancient times and Greek story lore
of those days of old which are no more.

Each site unearthed revealed a former era's tale
of exquisite marble statues carved in great detail
and hidden palaces and senate's governing core
in giving up their secrets of many centuries' lore.
