Attainment Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Attainment

Rating: 5.0

Meeting the landscape face to face
Climbing a mountain of defying grace
Coming to terms with immovable energy
Pulling your weight; setting your spirit free

Slowing reaching for a high horizontal surface
The air thins as lungs ache in this freezing place
The winds rip across a reddened tear filled smile
You look serenely below …marveling all the while

Meeting a challenge with experiences that teach
We all have our own personal summits to reach
Arriving with a sense of joyous accomplishment
All fears of failure are replaced by achievement
