August Requiem Poem by Cui Gya

August Requiem

August cicadas chirping
Rising and falling into an uninterrupted movement
Closer to me
Than the stars in the night sky
As if every leaf
Within my reach
Oxygen
My thoughts swim freely in it
Enjoy it like seaweed
The night ocean
No matter if its fluctuations
Have a unique rhythm or not
As long as my heart is calm
I can hear
Every rest of this symphony
Even all the darkness
With semitones and a slight chill
Twinkling into a requiem
Gradually falling into a dream
