Aura Of Aliveness Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Aura Of Aliveness

Standing tranquilized for a moment
in the shade of a newly leafed tree
as a small woodpecker tapped away

Realizing a remarkable aliveness
that is mysteriously stirring…an aura
of animation within an unscripted display

Focusing attention to roughly textured bark
fostering a previously overlooked community...
a bustling metropolis within its shades of gray

Extending my hand with fingers spread...
careful not to disturb splendid creatures
as they traveled mindfully on their way

Motionless and magnetically affixed
watching curiously…admiring coexistence
While the travelers seemingly shyed away

Coal black ants and dusty-gray spiders
scurried… never crossing random avenues
as a tiny green winged explorer strayed

My transfixed gaze marveled...
Admiring uniqueness and compatibility
on this particularly peaceful day
