Aussie blues again come true
for green and gold socceroos;
lightning kick of samurai blue
in extra time runs roos through.
Socceroos leave Qatar
without major silverware;
suffering from extra-time
heartbreak going down.
Leave Qatar bleak socceroos
minus major prize silverware;
suffering intense extra-time
heartbreak blues threadbare.
Defeated by fit Japan
in stunning AFC 1-0
Asian Cup final win
in Doha loss in Qatar.
Japan's Tadanari Lee scored
an edged extra-time winner
an unmarked substitute sent
a stunning pulsating left-foot
volley past too slow diving Mark
Schwarzer in action 109th minute
to hand proud country their fourth
title in victory feat showcase kick.
