Australia's Thirtieth Prime Minister Poem by Francis Duggan

Australia's Thirtieth Prime Minister

Rating: 1.0

It does seem way beyond me for to explain
That someone who has inflicted on others so much mental pain
And has known to be cruel to every boat refugee
Has reached the very top of Australia's political tree

Australia's thirtieth Prime Minister Scott Morrison is admired by many as a great success
But those who believe on a fair go for all he could never impress
As Australia's Minister for Immigration he was so cruel
To asylum seekers by the austere policies towards them under his rule

Anybody with great power who for others suffering create
Is not the type of person one ought to celebrate
Australia's latest Prime Minister Scott Morrison in his ways is small
Since he does not believe on a fair go for all

Australia compared to most Countries is a vast and underpopulated Land
And why successive Federal Governments are so cruel to asylum seekers I cannot understand
Christ said those who do not welcome the stranger does not welcome me
A quote that I a non religious person with can only agree.
