Autumn has quickly come upon us.
Hardly into the first week of October
and the leaves are quickly falling
in colors of yellow, brown and orange
Has the long hot summer taken its toil
with little rain and too much heat?
It appears Nature needs to compensate,
relieving trees to sustain its dress
When all leaves gone, trees can ease,
gradually recover, drawing in moisture,
preparing for winter with rest in cold months
to again give new life in the coming spring
