Autumn In The Country Poem by james watkin

Autumn In The Country

Walks, hikes
Colt likes
Planned, pledged, of a short drive's
Dream escapes.
Autumn-rustic, for what
Smoky drapes.

Nuts, roots
Gum boots
In leaf's decay, mushroomed
Chased up, big.
Heavier for whose rains
Appled, swig.

Scarfs, shawls
Jam stalls
Old picnicking ways, lead
Off into.
Time-slowed, buggy-misted;
Ghosting two.

Laked eve's
Pale sheaves
Of buff light, shook apart
Goose-fed, round.
Til by camp fire's, log-spat
Cosy found.
