Autumn Memories Poem by dave lessard

Autumn Memories

Rating: 5.0

I feel the autumn breezes blowing
inside, juices of my body, flowing
the sun, fresh and clean and glowing
tints of color in the trees is showing.
There is nothing like a day in fall
that's when the magic's there for all
for the season's show of autumn's call
for scarlet maple trees, large and small.
The air so crisp, it's like perfume
in the huge space of nature's room
eradicating mournful gloom
a whisk of fall's great cleansing broom.
Pumpkins growing in green fields
the harvest season's annual yields
maple syrup on tasty pancake meals
frosty art on windows seals.
October breezes blowing fast
of autumn memories that last
pleasant pictures of their past
on a scale both grand and vast.
