What does it mean to be beautiful?
to be adored for who or whatyou are
appreciated and admired
from near or from afar.
She didn't look like Liz Taylor
hadn't the curves of Marilyn Monroe
but she was beautiful within
that's more important than you know.

He wasn't Robert Redford or Brad Pitt
and his male body wasn't much
but he was handsome on the inside
and a true friend in the clutch.

The music was harsh and noisy
but then I heard Van Cliburn play
a nocturne by Chopin
that took my breath away.

Pollock's splash on canvas
was not my artsy style
but Sunflowers by Van Gogh
now that caused me to smile!

It's so true, what people say
