Autumn's Story Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Autumn's Story

Crinkled and curled inward,
the once lush green beauty
turns to paper imitations
in the cool night air.
The last of Summer's glory
changes now in these Autumn days.
Time nears they will
let go completely to fly
to other destinies;
their brilliant final shades
glowing flames of red and gold
all moving toward a winter dawn.
