Awakening Poem by Edwina Reizer

Awakening

I will not kiss a papal ring
because the Pope is not a King.
He's just a man that I do see
that's living in the world of papacy.
There is no man can take God's place.
There is no man so filled with grace
that lives with the splendor of gold.
There's only a man just like me,
a human growing old.
