Away - Poem by wes mbanje

I gave myself away
in admiration of truth
To the complexion of his time
To the agreement of his command
To know by what authority do I do
as I do

i gave myself away
like leafs do
like a breeze cool
like fingers laced into a temple of prayer
Like inspiration thriving in His description
like salvation reaping through the flesh of his palms
like thoughts liberated by the freedoms of expressions

I gave myself away
like promises stretched into lies
like morning gives sunArise
like the wines of my sins pierced by his inscription
I gave myself away
like recipes that sweeten fruits
like verses the bible recruits
like a bullet through the barrel of life
like guilt gives into truth
like the saddles of laughter
when u come around
blissful and sound
like the hinges of love
the cables of your smile
i gave myself away like trust would
like knees
to pleas should

I gave myself away like promises
give into lies
like hours folding into days
like days striding into weeks
like a conscience giving into something clear
like courage gives into fear
