Baby; Babies Poem by Hebert Logerie

Baby; Babies

We were once babies
Playing around the daisies
Naturally docile
Not hostile
We smiled like angels
But were afraid of devils.

This is strange, baby; babies
Once grown up we became killers
Liars, perpetrators and offenders
Human beings can be like diseases
Why such subtle change?
Some were born deranged
Some were crazy and lazy
And others became biased and rowdy.

Baby; babies were born in Heaven
Being unaware of the details is not a sin
We forgot our mission
Albeit we chose inaction
Bigotry, ignorance
Violence and intolerance.

Too many are in jail
Too many heading to hell
We ignored our mission
And followed our passion
Once common sense is lost
We are duped, dumped and tossed
Forget about Heaven
Most are jailed in the den.
