Back Room Deals Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Back Room Deals

This side of the line,
He's a patriot,
On the other side
A spy
Wanted for treason,

As
Governments
Engage in secretive
Back room deals,
Overlooking ruthless deeds
Desperate to get
To a compromise,

Ah!
The power of diplomacy.

Aloha Govind... Welcome to the forum at ph.c! secretive... ruthless... compromise... Politics? What ever happened to that 'Sunshine Law? It does so appear that we are well into the sixth decade of a Mifia-esque, fascist state in amerika... What do your circle of compatriots think? IAM relating to the Back Room description that you have insisted is the theater setting of diplomacy within a political body... Having survived eight years of a do nothing congress, and a compromised Supreme Court, and watching a pretty good human being battling these wicked nemeses'...referring to President Obama of course... I have a pretty good basis for the argument of dictatorship... perhaps that Hail Caesar sort of thing... at least most common things would be addressed on a daily basis, under threat of death... things get done right now! I have enjoyed this refreshingly true, and clarifying post... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
