this part of the park
where no sunlight trespasses
a swarm of fireflies

Are they active in the day because of the dense shade? I have never seen that, it sounds cool. I love July and August here in Illinois because after sunset, they are so numerous and active

no they tend to be much more active as the sun sets. But this part of the park is dark so you tend to see them very well. It looks like fireworks
