Backroad To A Beach Poem by james watkin

Backroad To A Beach

A-drowse, the look
O'erlies all things.
Along this road to it.
Stony and scorched.
Treed shelter. Kine therein.
Farmhouse. What's porched.

Dropping, meanwhile
Hard grind's recall.
Along this road to it.
Hazy as hot!
Whilst looms up, expectant
Renewal's gulled spot.
