Bad Government Poem by Babajide Aina

Bad Government

The space is too narrow for all of us
Only the kings of kings have their palaces full of largesse
The cry in the street does not deprived waste in the palace
Slots at the top is not citizenship proof neither meritocracy call
As life sometimes is a contradiction, it explains why the palace is full of strangers and …
The signs of laziness on the street, harlot at the corridor of power and witchcraft as a scientist
Leaders who are praised by the devil and whose influences deprived glorious citizenship opportunities
To be employed, to be married and to dream without losing the actual time
Whose cause is this, Creature or creator?
Countries of the west are not more righteous than us
Even their poor harlot celebrates with the kings but for us celebration is segregated, only to the palace
We have hope; we have prayed even thoughts of united
Every day the kings' servant through social media and other means divide us through our weaknesses
Our allegiances to our tribe, ethnic, and poverty on the street, continue weaken our stand
No celebration of knowledge as they have robbed our soul with gain without hard work
Only God know how many prince and princess have left our shore
The hope is still with the few who are condemned to hard work without looking the side of the kings
Where do we start and where do we stand as hope is dented again by the evil kings
Who have vowed to continue desecrate even the righteous kings?
