Casket Poem by Babajide Aina

Casket

Its architects and builder are on this side
The man to the great beyond lives in it
All value for beauty
Dead march to the grave, epitaph a remember
Poor or rich
Last respect for the mortal garment

A home with a plot
Harboring the adventurer's garment
Whose tourism is to the great beyond?
The home that keep the relics of the mortal garment
For the separable judgement of the soul

No bill except for the worms
Taken their due on the mortal garment
The living rest… Dead a horizon
Garland or not
Casket a palace, last respect
Only for the mortal garment
