Bala Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Bala

Bala

His size and skin and language
-his culture, origin; all "Ceylon"
-never talks of the "Tea"
-neither has place in
-knowledge, as classic

He believes in his age
-is near seventy, elderly:
- "Not much that I can do! ! ! "

But he does everything
-when hears of money

Yet, in mid-time
-as it is too normal
-of-his-age
-he speaks with worries
- (thinking of departure
-the next world, hell, heaven)

He knows that I write, film
-so, questions:
- "Do you do anything on
-about the mankind's origin? "

His right hand shows his head
-lands on pitch black hair
-he has dyed as raven's

I get it and stand as a rock
-he feels king and royal
-and goes on:
- "Man has gone to space
- "Man is good in science
- "and Man has discovered
- "Man has made medicine
- "But misses origin…

He speaks nonstop
-his thoughts lake
-cascade, tongue
"Something or somebody
- "Has made all before us
- "God, Nature, or Allah

He tries, tries hard
-to show all equal
-but in fact, wants one thing
- "There must be Creator"

And at end he will sure take me to
-religions and shrines,
-punishment. and rewards,

Frankly I have been
-doing same, questioning
-but ignore the last parts
-see myself too small
-to deserve anyone
-of rewards, punishments

I like it Ali's way
- "Prayers and the faiths;
-the man-God relations,
-come from the need for
-ending up in heaven
-or fear of the hell
-or brain, love and care."

Then he does categorise:
- ‘The first' do business
- ‘Second' ones are slaves
-and ‘The Third' is brave
-the true ‘Free Man'

Which of these is Bala?
-which one are the priests?
-the rabbis and mullahs?
-and shamans and the monks?

Yes, I wish I could ask
-myself and all the rest:
- "What the hell are we and
-our claims…the mankind? "
