As we enter into the Dark half of the year
Celebrating that fleeting moment
When night and day
Carry equal weight
Let us celebrate
Appreciate
The gifts of Summer
That will sustain us
Feed us
Keep us warm
As we face the long cold night
And remember as we gather
The last of Harvest
That inside each fruit, nut and head of grain
Lies the promise, the understanding
That the sun will come again
To awaken the seed
Which lies beneath the ground
Resting soundlyly
Until the sun regains the strength
To lift it up again
