Bandarwalla Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Bandarwalla

Badarwalla,
Indian Bandarwalla
Coming
With the monkeys
Red-mouthed monkeys
To make them play,
Play the bridal story,
The male monkey playing
The role of bridegroom
Going to marry
And the female monkey sulking,
Bandarwalla powdering
The face of the monkey
With dust
To look handsome-handsome
And sounding the damru
Singing a bridal song
And the male bandar rounding
And rounding
With the rope tied around
His neck.
