Bandy Boy On A Bike Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Bandy Boy On A Bike

Like a knight on a horse,
you've always riden to my rescue.
When the nights get tough,
and tears seem endless,
you'd always come.
When the nightmares would birth real,
you'd chase them all away.
When I would drown in a sea of thoughts,
you'd swim out to find me.
Never have I wanted a kiss from my hero,
to come so quickly my way.
Even so,
I prefer you as you are.
My hero in a band t-shirt,
riding on a bicycle.
