Along quiet darkened lanes
Fearful steps and dread,
What lurks yonder in the
Forest of terror?
The quickening beat of
Frightful heart finds hurried steps
Carrying backwards glances
And panic of breath.
Uncontrollable hairs rising on the
Back of your neck giving cue
To that shiver down your spine, shiver
Turns to shudder which shakes you
To your very core.
To reach what you think is the
Sanctuary of home,
Safe in the comfort of family.
They can not save you from
Ireland's most feared folklore
Here to announce your end.
The song of the dreaded Banshee.
Thank you for reading.
