Battle-Less War Poem by Babalola Augustine Adeola

Battle-Less War

Rating: 5.0

In the reign of queen moon,
Like shooting stars they came;
Hunting down like shadows
With no canon, no guns.
Seeking my destructions right inside my head.

In the days,
When the sun rules the world,
They came.
Flashing like lightenings,
Striking like thunders;
Starring me in the face
Sending signals of shivers down my spine.

Begotten, was a fire of war.
Waiting for me to kill.
Not by canons and guns,
Nor with help from the states
But by myself.

'It over' i said to them
The monsters called my yesterday
And walked down the isle with my today.

And so...
the war ended.
Fear was defeated.
With no guns or canom.
But by the strenght of my decisions,
Never to open the back door again.

Mesmerizing poetry. Great narrative style with a strong message. The most important victory of life is surely to overcome one's fear. It needs inner strength, zeal, dedication and openness to accept and face challenges.........Looking forward for more poetry.......! !

Very strong, both in structure and content. Strong in the strength to overcome and survive. Good job. So well done. Lynn W. Petty
