Baywatch, Beauties And Beaches! Poem by Denis Martindale

Throughout the years, lifeguards must train as they have always done.
To join the team that once again saves swimmers in the sun.
They speed across each sandy beach, then swim until they dive,
Another swimmer they must reach, another to survive.

Beyond the dramas that unfold, from dawn to dusk each day,
There are more stories to get told when lifeguards walk away.
With challenges to overcome, romances old and new,
Good times for all, not just for some, as we watch what they do.

The beaches while away each night, beneath a silvered moon,
Until a new day brings its light, with sunshine coming soon.
The lifeguards' eyes are there to scan until the light grows dim,
Sunbathers basking as they tan, while children splash and swim.

Yes, Baywatch beaches are sublime, controlled, patrolled and safe,
As long as heroes spend their time with courage to stay brave.
Determined to stay on alert, steadfast in every way,
To safeguard those who could get hurt, so they go home OK.

Baywatch endures the passing years and seasons in the sun,
Swimsuits, bikinis, smiles, and tears, with lifeguards as they run.
As long as beauties stand and pose, and sunshine warms the sand,
Our 'Baywatch fascination' grows the more we understand.

Each lifeguard can be a charmer! No wonder they beguile!
That's why we enjoy each drama, each romance, kiss and smile!
