Be The Person your Dog Thinks You Are, this Is Life. Poem by Adrian Wait

Be The Person your Dog Thinks You Are, this Is Life.

The fact that a Seed dies
Reveals the very reason for life
Life is a Gift death gives it meaning
Dogs know this secret, living each day
as if it were joy in its very self, Alive
In precious moments of togetherness
Loving life, loving companions, loving
Does it know seven years for one
None must be wasted, be joyful
Love and be Loved, Be the person
Your dog thinks you are, this is life
Steadfast loyalty shared in time, so short
Is never-the-less a love seeded for eternity
In living to others, healing begins
We are kindred in spirit with the cosmos
Made of the same stardust, and DNA
Closer than we can ever imagine
Revealed in random acts of kindness
Tears of joy are Loving seeds for eternity

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Ben: Love is being able to be in silence with one another, but so content because they are there. Love is laughing with and not at... Love is a deepening friendship and steadfast loyalty... amongst my greatest love was/is Ben...
