Be True To Yourself Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Be True To Yourself

Rating: 5.0

You are true to your self
The sea has enough in its shelf
Still it remains calm and quiet
The feelings are definitely made know or let

Was this really intended to turn out?
What was then sacrifice, sufferings and all about?
So much blood shed in the name of religion
Instead why not spread the message of love in all the regions?

Where do we find actual feeling?
Who wants to offer it just as willing?
I don't know what I am celebrating
Was the sacrifice meant for equating?

Yes it has been reduced to mere celebration
There is no direct link of any suggestion or connection
It has been reduced to purely an event for joy
let whole world deep in it and enjoy

I shall not remain in doors
Rather go out in the services of poor
I will be able to share their grief
Though I shall stay only brief

We have come off to an age
Today we are able to mange
There are no more crisis as that of past
The torture and intolerance has a long last

I would love to be among needy
They will really be nice and no greedy
I shall celebrate with them in free air
This will be sensible and fair

It least I will not be called Hippocratic
At least this be less sarcastic
I shall love the occasion to be celebrated
But the poor and forgotten ones will be feted'
