Beard
On the run
-I knew had to be
-all set and prepared
-for the tour and trip
-as one does for camping
-sure mine was dangerous
Thought of routes and the paths
-possibly could cross Taliban
Studied about them and their laws
-and their rules and their wants
Experts were united:
-"Need beard."
-"Need beard."
-"Need beard."
I grew my longest
-not trimmed
-for the last final days
The experts had been right
-though did face obstacles
-rode and walked to much parts;
-of the land of Afghans,
- (as are called…) itself being divided
-Thirty-three-province and I saw over half
Many kissed my hands and
-I was well-respected
-till the time I crossed
-to Tajik, a new government
-and things changed
-my beard,
-old savour
-sent me to prison…
Though bitter
-memories are great…
