Beating Heart Poem by Saiyuri Oliver

Beating Heart

I fantasize of a fire
It's flames so large
And yet oddly contained
That's what I feel
A love so potent and dangerous
That although it should frighten
It only draws you nearer
Mmm, closer
Until your arms are secured around me
My back's against your chest
I feel each breath
Each motion
Each thought that passes through your wicked mind
Makes me tremble
And you never have to speak for me to know
A safe smile as you turn me
Hold me
Your strong hands cradling my body
My heart beating against yours
Making an odd rhythm
Although unusual, it's our rhythm
It's my heart speaking to yours
And yours responding
Beat for beat
Till you have me trembling
Your eyes, liquid pools of sweet desire
Mine, although fearful of pain
Returns your gaze with a strength of their own
A passion just as strong
Just as vivid
I'm begging you to take me
Bring me to your world
Protect me, shelter me
Let me know what life would be like if I wasn't so strong
If I let you shield me from all the bad
Correct all my errors
Instead of standing on my own, leaning against you for support
Ahh, what a fantasy
But I'm not weak
And you love that about me
Although I love your arms around me
Even though I feel as if the world could be destroyed
And if your arms are around me
Everything will be fine
I have to experience life
It's a step everyone's forced to take
But please...
Hold my hand when I can't go on
Utter sweet words when my strength is gone
Kiss my lips when pain grips my heart
Embrace me when it feels as if my world has gone to hell
For whether or not you make sense during my time of need
Means nothing
For your presence heals most of my wounds
Your touch is a sweet balm
Your eyes say more than what words can ever express
Silence is golden
But your actions scream that you love me
And one day, when fear no longer rules my heart
I'll be able to appreciate that fully
And finally be able to give back everything you've given me
So let me start
With a kiss
A caress
And a few simple words
Te amo mi principe
