Beautiful Hats Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Beautiful Hats

Samantha now owns one hundred hats
Such beautiful hats are they!
Special occasion - she wears one with pride.
Showing its style in her mannequin way.

Sports Gala comes round each springtime
Smartly dressed ladies always attend.
Samantha takes hats from the closet
Selecting the one with a modern trend.

Sometimes Samantha wears violet
Silken gowns, which need pretty hats.
Sandals with straps so attractive, and
Silver jewellery for aristocrats.

Summer months encourage a wedding
Swiftly followed by a cruise round the Bay
Shimmering with light, in a hat just right
She smiles so sweely on her happiest day.
