Beautiful Lies Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Beautiful Lies

Rating: 5.0

You’re a beautiful woman
You must have a heart in you
What is your story
I wish I could hear it true
And breathe it all in
And really feel it too

But looking at you
I see your beauty fine and sweet
Before my eyes, a distant treat
A woman and a girl, one I could dream to meet
I suppose true from your head to your pretty feet
You are inaccessible beauty complete

Raven hair with sun lightened streaks of brown
Pretty the way your bangs tuck up against your eyes
White pearls squinting into the sun glaring skies
With a sultry glance that might hypnotize
Your high cheekbones rounded in beauty, like your thighs
convey a spirit warm and rich I romanticize

Your small nose so feminine in its shape soft
Catches a pearlescent glimmer from the sky aloft
Your lips so gentle and round, beautiful as can be found
Against your silky skin so moist and chocolate brown
My eyes fall in to your bosom so imagined soft
Your delicate breasts set wide apart
Glisten in the sun like sculpted art

Your chin line against your slender neck
So long and smooth makes my heart move
But one like you would realize
You have your pick of many other guys
But in dreams if dreams could surprise
I imagine seeing love in your eyes
And kiss away all your cries

All of your intention is deception and lies
Still your beauty might hypnotize
