Beautiful Schoolgirl Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Beautiful Schoolgirl

Has anyone seen sweet Sheila,
A friend of mine from long ago?
Sheila was such a beautiful girl,
Lovelier still than most
girls I know.

Her dark brown hair always shining
Her brown eyes always aglow,
Sheila's smile was so attractive
More beautiful than most
smiles I know.

We always stood at her doorway
Talking in the afternoon snow
Her school scarf resting around her
shoulders...oh how
I admired her so.

But I have lost touch with Sheila
She married and settled down
So has anyone seen sweet Sheila
the most beautiful
woman in town?
