Beautiful Sight Poem by Beth Sands

Beautiful Sight

A lonely girl, in a lonely place
No one dares look her in the face
All she wants is one friend
But no one cares, and this is how it will end

Her darkened soul
It's fading away
She's loosing control
And disappearing day-by-day

Beautiful, she could be
If she ever let herself free
From the chains she locks herself within
She's growing weary, weak and thin

She can't take it anymore
She wishes to soar
She prays every night
To be a beautiful sight

Then she disappears
Soon reappears
With in the heavens
Finally, a beautiful sight
With wings so bright
