Beautiful Sunrise... Poem by Brett White

Beautiful Sunrise...

Beautiful sunrise,
Heart of mine,
Arise, arise,
Sublime.

Colors melt afresh,
Soul of mine,
With thine, enmeshed.
Thy Soul: Divine.

Summer's quietude,
So sweetly blessed,
Deepest gratitude,
My Spirit's Guest.

Fade not Sun,
Into azure lights,
Before thou hast begun,
To assert celestial rites.

Initiate my Soul,
Into thy Light,
Above as is Below,
O Rising Light,

Fear not, O heart,
To capitulate desires,
Which never depart,
A million lit fires.

Fade not, O stars;
Breathe easily with me.
O Light Above, heal scars,
That cry for Eternity.

A sea of longing,
Desires forgotten.
My heart, thronging,
Was ill-begotten.

But fresh dew shines,
In my eyes today;
And lost-love confines,
Every Sun's ray.

O Children of my Heart,
Weep not for me,
Thou shalt ne'er depart,
We'll pray together Eternally.

Bright lights shine Forever,
Day or Darkest Night,
Through every endeavor,
Assuaging every plight.

Grace today I pray for,
The gift of gifts,
I know I asked before,
Please... mend these rifts.

Shattered clouds shine,
Battered rain falls,
Soothing my mind,
Pour toi, it calls...

Echo ring forth,
Songs of Praise,
O my Star, lead North,
For all my days.

And I cannot say,
My sacred prayers,
I just hope today,
They reach God's Ears.
