Blue's My Favorite Colour. Poem by Brett White

Blue's My Favorite Colour.

Rating: 5.0

I don't know what to do,
When every emotion...
Is just...
A different Shade of Blue.

And even though Blue's my Favorite Colour,
Sometimes...
I like the Flame of Red...
To Spark inside my Head.

And everyone says,
"Brett, just give up...
Your love is gone..."
But to them I say "I think you're wrong".

And Lifetimes over I'd wait for you,
Burning Alone...
Feeling Blue...
Just for the chance to be with you.

So brood I must over broken Trust,
And wistfully wish...
For another chance...
Or at the very least, a single glance

From you to me, Divinity
Caught in the Air...
A wild mare...
Untamed Forevermore.

And people come and people go,
Life passes far too fast...
Quiet moments never seem to last...
And I'll just remain burning slow.

Very well done, in my humble opinion. I would invite you to read some of mine, but I am a new poet, and Poem Hunter has not activated any of my poems yet. I have five so far, but will not post any more until they activate the ones I have already posted.
