Beauty Before Me
All the beauty that I have seen
has quickened the beat of my heart.
To have seen with my eyes each beauteous thing
I know will never depart.
For they became a part of my being
and remain in my memory.
Oh that I could take them with me
for all eternity,
I would be the happiest creature
that had ever been alive.
And always would I be thankful
that beauty still did thrive.
