Beauty Frozen, If Only Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Beauty Frozen, If Only

Beauty frozen
Nowhere to go within
So cold, so very cold
Her words a river
Of icy remorse
Nomadic extrovert affliction

Her tears cannot fall
Trapped in icicle regret

Freezer burnt heart
The source of all the pain
All passion drained
Too strong for the fire
To melt it all away

Sub-zero temperature
Ascending away from warming grace
Withering fate
Creating a giant iceberg reality
Her own hell within
Is an endless freezer burn
Chillingly murdered by her own regret

Beauty frozen
Shut within herself
Beyond the cold
Her words stuck solid
Traveller's remorse
Icy phantom of haunting self

Her tears cannot fall
Trapped in icicle regret

If only I was the warming light to shine it all away

If only
