This heart has a secret
A deep hidden secret
Where scars reside
Emotions subside
And hope?
Residuals of a dying past
Trying to adapt with these current times


Pain, subliminal beats
Crying out to be heard
Within it, frustration
Of someone who feels
Less than the very thing
They are so passionate about
Fading away in the silence
Of unspoken dedications
So much given
Wasting away trying to receive, something


Not that there are any high expectations
Just a mere spec of anything
Reinsurance, that these feelings
Are safe to feel free
Trusting a majestic force
With no agenda at all


Beating and beating
Rattling shrapnel of past pains
Murmuring false equivalencies
Showing so much doubt
Yet, showing restraint
For the pain that resides within


This heart has a secret
To be discovered from soulful discoveries
Seeing beyond the many facades of life


Wishing there was an awakening of truth
Lighting everything towards plain view
So everyone can see the true identity of love
Residing deep inside a soul's endless excursion
Searching for every color in existence

Maybe one that will never be heard
But as it beats there is still a chance
