Beauty Of The Ballet Poem by james watkin

Beauty Of The Ballet

Held there, spellbound. As clear above
This world's sordidness.
In proportion to what leaps
If but as long, recalled, keeps
Dream figures, aired bright.

Perfect interplay of artist
With its audience.
The blending of emotions
Finest. Flawless inclinations
Of refined delight.

11/

Heart-inflated admiration!
With each tilt, back and forth
A tipsy fairy's, loving more!
Soul-intriguing. More to adore!
With each trick, unworldly

Of rising, the purest, clearest
Above what lifts, sensual.
Even so for a dance baring
The least for its own preserving:
Cloth-weighed; for modesty.
