Because You Don'T Poem by Dallin Bruun

Because You Don'T

my mom
and my dad
and my wife
and my siblings
say if everyone agrees about something
I disagree
(and with that, I do)

but everyone agrees that everything is wrong today
and the only time I hear the phrase 'modern society'
is when someone is criticizing it

I'm cool with 'modern society'
and 'corporations'
and 'religion'
and maybe even 'war'

but I might like all those
because you don't
