Before The Judge Poem by Alex Adeoye

Before The Judge

Rating: 5.0

I learn to cheat
From my parent,
Who advised, 'Use paper.'
Charity begins at home.

I learn to prey, sorry, pray
From my pastor
Who preached:
'Do it in secret'
Blessed is the servant
That does it with wisdom.

I learn to lie
From our government
That promises but never fulfills.

My lord
I deserve to die?
