Before Winter Snow Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Before Winter Snow

Rating: 5.0

The autumn leaves have fallen from the trees,
And soon the winter snow will cover all.
But I still feel the warmth of your embrace,
And hear your voice when evening shadows fall.
You are the sun that brightens up my day,
The moon that guides me through the darkest night.
You are the star that never fades away,
The fire that keeps my heart alight.
But time is cruel and we must say goodbye,
For you must go where I cannot follow.
And though I know that you will always be mine,
I fear the cold and hollow morrow.
So let me hold you close and kiss you now,
Before the winter snow erases how.
