Before You Are Gone Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Before You Are Gone

I have been trying,
to walk on water again,
but I just keep on getting wet,
why don't these wings let me fly,
into the sky,
I only wish to sore,
above this world,
just once more,
give me hope and grace,
they where good friends of mine,
way long before the dawn,
came between us both,
and then came the night,
restless I lay,
trying to sleep,
kiss me in your dreams,
if your are willing and able,
because I just can't say goodby,
yet, we must talk, dance, love more,
before you are gone.
