Beg, Borrow Or Steal? Poem by Asma Khan

Beg, Borrow Or Steal?

I have watched the skies changing color
silent and still with lips fuller
I asked the reason beyond justice
a sign surrounded one for longer

I have sought the truth about love
there is nothing that it goes above
I sensed the hearts bloomed long before
in quest of to love or to be in love?

The silent clock gave away, it's time
stories different, but we still rhyme
I walked miles to beat the loneliness inherited
ringing the heartless sounds of my own chime

Poeple grow hopes on the branches of age
capturing all birds in the heart of a cage
you never heard a broken dream in silence
for sure in pain, you don't want to engage

These still moments are solitary in the grave
wasn't this the taste you ever craved?
it's pointless to say you are there now
for all your flaws, I already forgave

It's clear I have lost the deal
to get you back, I can't kneel
you have pushed me away like nothing else
to find you, shall I beg, borrow or steal?
